Finding An Anti
Ageing Supplement
Every
year there are more and more claims of having found the fountain of
youth in an anti ageing supplement. So, how many of these items work,
and how are they suppose to work. Discovering the mystery of anti
Ageing supplements can help determine if and what products are good.
Anti
Ageing Supplement: DHEA
When
this first was introduced, it was thought to be the
“cure” for ageing. It was thought to slow down the
ageing process by improving muscle tone, bone density and an over all
sense of feeling better. As an anti Ageing supplement, DHEA has been
extremely popular. Now many are wondering just how well this product
worked. In some tests it showed that people with certain adrenal gland
problems did have some benefits, but as an anti Ageing supplement,
there was no concrete proof that it reversed the Ageing process.
What
About Testosterone As An Anti Ageing Supplement?
Testosterone
has too been investigated as a possible drug to slow down the effects
of ageing. This anti ageing supplement has not been thoroughly looked
at and researched to truly know if it is the best tool. It does seem
to; however; help men with low levels of testosterone. As men age their
testosterone level decreases naturally. This can result in decreased
energy, decrease in muscle tone and memory function. Using testosterone
does seem to show some improvements in these areas. As an all over anti
Ageing supplement, that is still an unknown.
HGH
As An Anti Ageing Supplement
Another
well known treatment for anti ageing is the Human Growth Hormone. The
pituitary gland makes the Human Growth Hormone naturally. Around the
age of forty, the gland begins slowing production of this hormone. Many
believe that this hormone compound is what keeps us young. Human Growth
Hormone has been approved for specific conditions, including, children
with short stature, children with kidney disease and children with
Turners syndrome among others.
In
adults, it has been shown to help with increasing muscle mass,
decreasing fat, improving mood and exercise capabilities. These can
contribute to feeling better. DHEA as an anti ageing supplement has not
been proven and there are side effects to be aware of. These include
swelling, headaches, bloating and others.
As
our population ages, the research into the field of anti ageing
supplement, will continue to grow. As we learn more about the Ageing
process itself, finding an anti ageing supplement will be the next
natural step.
